Mental health Support

The University places a high priority on student mental health and well-being. The University recognizes that students may experience stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues during their academic journey. To address this, the University has established a Counselling Office found in the directorate of the student affairs that provides support for students going through difficult times. The Counselling Office at ASU offers one-to-one sessions with qualified professionals who provide emotional support and guidance to students struggling with mental health issues. The sessions are confidential and free of charge, ensuring that students have access to the support they need without any financial burden.

In addition to providing mental health support, ASU is also committed to providing support for disabled students with special needs. The campus is equipped with facilities that make their lives easier, such as wheelchair ramps, elevators, and specially designed bathrooms. ASU's commitment to student mental health and well-being is a testament to the University's dedication to providing a holistic education that promotes the overall well-being of its students. The University recognizes that mental health issues can have a significant impact on students' academic performance and personal lives and seeks to provide support and resources to help students overcome these challenges.

In addition to the Counselling Office and support services for disabled students, ASU also offers a range of extracurricular activities that promote physical and mental health. The University also organizes events and activities that promote community building, stress relief, and mental well-being.
