SDG 10: REDUCED INEQUALITIES

Introduction


The university is committed to reducing inequalities by promoting access and success for all groups, including first-generation students, students from developing countries, and students with disabilities. ASU recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment for all students, staff, and faculty.

To support the success of these students, ASU has implemented several measures against discrimination, including a policy on Equality and Diversity and Harassment and Anti Bullying Policy.

ASU provides mentoring, counseling, and peer support programs to support students, staff, and faculty from all groups. ASU also provides accessible facilities and disability support services for people with disabilities. Additionally, ASU has a disability access scheme that provides mentoring or other targeted support to students with disabilities through the Student Counseling Office in the Directorate of Students Affairs.

ASU also has a policy for Students with Special Needs/ Disabilities, ASU recognizes that reducing inequalities requires ongoing efforts and is committed to continually evaluating and improving its policies and practices to create a more diverse and inclusive campus community.
