Introduction


Applied Science University aims to achieve gender equality and promote women's role in society through various initiatives and programs. The university implements several programs and initiatives that aim to empower women and improve their role in society. One of the main programs aims to develop skills and enable women to benefit from education, training, and professional development opportunities, improve their role in society and the economy. Additionally, the university organizes various events and conferences that discuss women's issues and promote their role in society, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of gender equality and promoting women's role in sustainable development.

The university's initiatives in the fifth goal also include providing necessary support to female students through the university's women's club. Every year, Applied Science University celebrates Bahraini Women's Day and organizes various events and initiatives that encourage the promotion of women's role in society and raise awareness of the importance of gender equality.

SDG 5 is focused on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. Bahrain has made significant efforts to promote gender equality and empower women in various sectors. In recent years, Bahrain has made progress in promoting women's participation in the labor market and increasing their representation in decision-making positions. Women in Bahrain have access to education and healthcare services, and the country has implemented laws to protect women from violence and harassment. Additionally, Bahrain has implemented policies aimed at promoting work-life balance, such as maternity leave, flexible working hours, and childcare services.
